I'm booked on the plymouth santander ferry on 16th May, return 25th. 
my original plan has gone out of the window,, so i'm now looking for an alternative tour.. i have read about the silver route going down through the western side of spain, and think it might be worth a look.. i've already been told that the road from santander to burgos is a cracking ride so i guess that's my starting point. if anybody out there has any experience of the silver route good or bad, or any tips for a successful trip i'd be grateful..
