Injection relay problem....?

Hi all

I have recently bought an F650 GS 2005 reg. After only 2 week use, the bike would not start. At first I thought it could be because its been very cold in the mornings recently but it’s kept in a garage and out of the damp. I have taken it to a local bike garage and I have been told that the there is no fuel getting to the injector. He seems to think that it may require a new fuel injection relay unit.
Has anyone heard of this problem before, as the mechanic say’s it’s a problem with these models…..?

I am very new to motorbikes, so he could be telling me anything.
Some info on this problem would be helpful.

Check the fuses first, I presume you can't hear the pump running/priming for a few seconds after turning the ignition on.
The fuel pump itself may have failed.

There is a recent post on this topic , and the answer is yes, the relays are troublesome, and water can get up the back of the board and corrode the terminals too.

There are a few relays, the one that feeds the electronic control unit with 12 volts for 3 seconds after you use the starter can fail intermittently too, and this is much harder to find.

Dont frigging ask.

Just let the guy change the lot - he seems to know what he is doing and he will replace the troublesome originals with a better part.
