Hi to all, I am evaluating to make the change of injectors in my motorcycle, a 850R of 2001, (ant head)... I have seen posts of long time of comrades that already carry it mounted, I would be grateful to clarify to me that such works? could you give me opinion.
Is it really worth the change?

Thanks guys, cheers from Barcelona!
Victor

Victor if you "subscribe" to the forum You will gain access to all areas

Search "Gordon Graham" he has already made the conversion to later injectors with good results

and if you subscribe You can also access the private message facility and I think Gordon actually had a set of Injectors that were not paid for by the person who ordered them

Hi Victor

The upgrade is definitely worthwhile - I have a set in my 1100 and the difference is quite noticeable. Smoother power delivery low down and the bike just feels more 'lively' throughout the rev range. Your 850 should see the same benefit.

I imported a load of kits for members here earlier in the year and everyone that gave feedback seemed very pleased. I stopped doing them as the hassle with customs was infuriating.

The spare kit I had left was for an 1150 and (i think) i sold them a while back, but wouldnt have fitted your bike anyway.

You can still get the kits either from tills.de in Germany or Injector Rehab in the US, though import duty sometimes makes them a bit more expensive.

Cheers
Gordon

Check if his 850R has the hydraulic clutch. If it has then his 2001 850R has the same injectors as an 1150.

Looking at motorworks they have different throttle bodies and injectors for the 850R '02 onwards. Seems to also tie up with the 'upgrade' vendors offering kits for post and pre '02. That's what I based my assumption on, but could of course be wrong.

Thanks to all, i check tills.de (my bike is a 2001 850 - 5 speeds / like an 1100 94-97) it has no hydraulic clutch.

when i break my "piggy bank".... tell you soon the end of story.

Best regards!
