Just fired up the 1100r after a 12 month casual strip and rebuild
noticed i can see the odd backfire through the left hand inlet manifold to head junction when starting. ultrasonically cleaned everything but they were quite old and scabby and looking at them theres a kind of moulded in o ring face seal type feature that has maybe had its day, especially as its only held by a couple of bolts. Just wondered if anyone else has encountered, if a clean/ rub on a flat surface with wet and dry and a smear of silicone is a kosher fix? dont want it to leak, run lean and melt something
