Rather than divert my thread about low speed performance, I'll start another:

Has anyone fitted the 'High torque induction inlet duct replacement kit (R1100RS/RT) | POA00010' from Motorworks. If so why? Did it work? What were the benefits/downsides?

TIA

Richard

The high torque kit is a set of GS inlet tubes fitted to the RS &RT. :D:D

Longer tubes.

If you've got an 1150/1100 RT these do work, put them on my 1100 RT (pre gs) and it did give more touque in the mid range, went up steep hills in fourth a lot better.

Funnily enough, the gentlemans GS already has GS tubes fitted.:D

Although if he bought another set and fitted them he'd be sure to notice a vast improvement. Always happens when money is spent on "improvements" :augie

Ah ..... Crafty idea that Steptoe .........

Am off out now to buy an extra set of inlet tubes ..... Will I struggle to fit them in the same holes as the ones already fitted or will they go inside the ones already on .... :eek ...?

That should double the performance then ........ :D

Pay Steptoe to fit them for you !

More money will ensure more increase :thumb2

And you will be able to publicly declare Steptoe a genius for transforming your bike into a sports bike beating Monster

OK I give up:o

I thought that Motorworks were suggesting that changing the inlet tubes on the GS to 'x' would improve matters. In fact I'm pretty sure that I've read it elsewhere but I can't find the reference and therefore which inlet tubes to fit.

Richard

Richard,

Dont bother with the inlet tubes is the message we are having fun trying to tell you....:D

The GS when properly set up has enough grunt for all your needs.

I know only from a bit of tinkering and bit by bit sorting out how to properly service the machine.

Steptoe is the man to pay attention to. He works on these bikes day in and day out. If you ask him nicely and catch him in a good mood he may share some of his knowledge with you ... :thumb2

Edit. Your not getting mixed up with the bigger Air box inlet pipe that is available are you ? ..:green gri:green gri:green gri

Fear not, I need a little redirecting periodically:roll

That sounds more like it:bounce1 Any benefits in changing it?

Richard

Not changed mine ...... they are a bit pricey and I missed the one that steppers was selling cheap or I would have tried it just for the sake of it.

Somebody on here will tell you i`m sure ........ ;)

Cheers.

What motorworks are suggesting is changing the inlet tubes on an RT/RS , and fitting the GS inlet tubes.
The GS inlet tubes provide more torque. -

And seeing as you have a GS, it already comes with those fitted as standard :D

BUT!!!

Conversely Would it not also be True, that, fitting the RT ~ RS tubes will incease top end at a cost of the low end "Grunt" of the GS ones? They certainly made a big differenc on my Hybrid. I have to hang on now when I give it the message :aidan :aidan

S'a pity that there's not more room we could make set of them there Tambourine~ee ones orf the MV Augusta thing

More bottom end Grunt fit a supercharger and stand back to collect the gearbox bits and pieces :aidan:aidan
