Inline fuel filter

Is it worth fitting a inline fuel filter whilst I'm learning to be a master mechanic ?
Something like this if its the correct diameter.

i see the leg shield inserts ....nice .....a Moto Guzzi California Vintage ....has those as standard .

Black plastic trays cut down. Very handy i attach a small bag either side for carrying a bit of light stuff whilst we are away.

Agreed they need trimming

They serve a purpose and remove when not in use.
