Inner fender or Mudsling?

Yep, that's the one I went for.

It's ****ing expensive, but I think I made the right call. It fits well, looks like a factory part, covers a broad area of shock and lower flanks and doesn't need the nasty set of tie-wraps to fix it to the subframe- instead using an existing bolt up inside the fender.

A few pics which might help see how it fits-

Just looking at protecting my new 1250 and I came upon this

https://www.wunderlich.de/shop/en/w...NxhfcRwhzp20gT7dWbReGiIlJDW 47MaAhuNEALw_wcB

Is this better than the ubiquitous Mudsling or much the same?

Anybody use one?

More better below and lock with bolts to footrest, no plastic ties and very solid I have for many years and work perfect, very solid not cheap wunderlich plastic

Bought one on e-bay £26 incl p&p and of good quality and fit. Does the job perfectly. Honestly, don't know where these companies get their prices for a piece of moulded plastic!!

I went for the Wunderlich one as I preferred that it screws in to the undertray rather than zip ties and easy to remove / refit for deep cleaning

I did try the copy Mudsling but found it rubbed on the pivot housing

Expensive for what it is, but the Wunderlich one works for me but to be fair the copy mudsling did the same job

I also fitted the frame covers from Wunderlich, which do have rubbers straps but they do help as well with keeping shitty water away and I think they look good. Expensive, yes, but It's my money

Because they've taken the trouble to employ engineers to design a product and done the research to make sure it's safe in use - the knock off companies steal their designs and IP.

Mind you, be thankful that Wunderlich did make the investment, without it you couldn't have bought one on eBay for £26 incl p&p...

R&D takes a lot of time and a lot of investment, knock-off companies can simply scan the developed product and print or mould it.
Wunderlich do make lovely products for our bikes.

Interesting though that if I look under "This product fits to" on the link you provided, or if I look up the part number on Nippy Norman's, it doesn't list the R1250GS / GSA - yet clearly from the pictures above it seems to fit. That's a so and so as I prefer the look and fit of this to the genuine Mudsling I have fitted (which to be honest does a great job) because the R1250GS / GSA wasn't listed.

Quite why BMW produced the machine without a Mudsling is a mystery.

Absolutely.......they could have done something to stop the crap going up the back of your trousers in the wet

I bought The Mudsling .. as Mr HGS says .... to stop all the shite going up the back of your leg. SO easy to fit too.

Had installed Mudsling and Rear Hugger (Puig). Hugger broke the bracket after few months (what could have been very dangerous but ended well) so I removed its remaining pieces and kept only mudsling. Mudsling is 5 minutes job to install and protects way better then the one from the video above. The one that bolts on looks like it would protect your legs but not as good as classic mudsling that extends to the sides of the wheel.

Best combination for the Gs

Close all holes engine get hot, then next complain to come

Not likely with those 2 cylinders sticking out the side

These are about the rear wheel area, keeping the mess away
