Installing the givi tank lock and bag.

Thought I will be able to do it myself. Tried to remove the tank fuel cap but couldn't. Removed the bolts on the side but the fuel cap wouldn't budge. When I try to move it the whole plastic tank inside moves.

Am I missing a trick here.

Any advice please. Thanks.

i fitted mine last night.
you just remove the 4 most forward screws, set plastic ring on top, then set C ring in place, then replace the screws you moved with the 4 screws givi supplied. 5 mins tops.
DO NOT REMOVE 2 SCREWS CLOSEST TO RIDER ON FUEL CAP.

There's no need to remove the fuel cap. The lock rung for the GS bolts straight on top. Just remove the front bolts and replace them with those provided.

That one looks very much like the one which fits the 2006-2012 variants.

With my SW Motech tank bag I had to buy a keyless specific tank ring, might be the same with Givi ?
