I already have adventure panniers on my 1200GS, and last week picked up a topbox and rack.
The BMW instructions for fitting the rack are non existant.
I've obviously removed the GS bracket, but not sure on how the plethoria of hardware I have attaches the large bracket to the bike.
I could probably guess, but would prefer not to waste time here:comfort

Does anyone have any pictures they could post showing the bracket attachments to the bike? I assume they are the same on the GS & GSA??

Thanks
Ollie

Might be wrong but I'm guessing you have not fitted the GSA rear rack to your GS?

If not that's your problem, you need it for the GSA top box.

I have both the rack and the rack for the topbox.
It's the topbox rack that I'm having difficulty with.
I can see where it should attach, but there's lots of hardware/brackets etc and no instructions.

Thanks
Ollie

From memory isn't there only 4 bolts you need to fasten that line up with holes in the rear rack to attach the Topbox plate to the rear rack :nenau

Yes basically that's all there is as seen in this picture borrowed from the for sale section, hence my earlier post. :nenau

Sorry for the confusion, it's the rack that the the topbox rack mounts onto.
So, in the above picture, you have the rack that the topbox secures onto. Then this in turn via four bolts is secured onto the bike rack.
It's this bike rack that I need to add to my GS I need pictures/instructions on.
BMW don't expect people to add adventure panniers and top boxes to GS's, so there are no instructions.

Thanks

OK, some pictures.
It's this rack shown on the back of the bike I need help on mounting.
It's just sat in situ at the moment, and I have a plethora of hardware to mount it, some pictures of one mounted would be very useful for me, thanks, (I've searched the forums and found nothing).
