A good friend has sold his bike as it’s simply too heavy. He wishes to continue riding and has his eye on a Peugeot Metropolis three wheeled scooter. However his best insurance quote thus far is £1012 about three times what he was paying on his LT.
Can anyone recommend a company that might be able to help?

Try ringing or visiting Howden (was Aplan) as they have actual branches so might put a bit more effort into finding a suitable policy.

Get him to obtain quotes on a small lightweight conventional bike. I suspect part of the issue is that it is classed like a scooter and theft might be affecting the risk. Whereas a small lightweight might well prove cheaper, even better if it is a classic........

Food for thought.
