Our Blood Bike group (Derbyshire) have restored a donated 1962 Royal Enfield Interceptor which to be used at events and so on, not as a daily use vehicle. We are having trouble getting anyone to give use a quote to use it for that purpose - does anyone have any ideas on who might be helpful with this. We’ve tried all the usual obvious places.

Many thanks.

Questions:

1. Is it being ridden on the road or simply carted to events and then static?

2. What type of insurance are you looking for?

3. What does ‘Used at events’ mean?

4. What are these ‘events’?

5. What does ‘and so on’ mean?

6. How many ‘events’ a year?

7. What does ‘Not as a daily use vehicle’ mean?

8. Is it licensed for the road?

9. Value?

10. Who actually owns the vehicle?

11. Where is it kept when it’s not at ‘events’ and it’s not in daily use?

If it is not licensed for the road, is not used on the highway, is trailered or carted in say, a van, to ‘events’ and is simply static at the ‘events’, then it is arguably no different to a table or a chair. If though it is used on the road and somehow engaged in entertaining the public at ‘events’, that is something quite different.

Try these people, they've been really good for me in the past with odd insurance needs.

Thank you for the comprehensive list of questions. I don’t know the answer to many of your points I’m afraid. I was just looking, on behalf of others in the charity, for some suggestions for brokers who we might approach to discuss this in more detail. Others have suggested a couple, one of whom I believe we have not spoken to already, so we will try them.
