insurance hp2 sport

hi all
today tried to put a hp2 sport on a multi policy , no chance ,, so been ringing around ,awaiting few call backs ... anyone have a good quote ?, some companies did not even want to know when i mentions hp2 sport .??????? . i have 8 years no claims .
bit more head scratching then to come .

have you tried bmw's own insurance ? they where by far the cheapest when i insured my k1200r.

Yes BM's own is the way to go for sure. Just insured my HP2 Sport with my GSA as well for little over £300!!!!! BM's insurance is also unlimited mileage and covers you for track days organised by BM

Yes, use the BMW scheme run by Devitt. The HP2 as the more valuable bike will be the main bike and any other BMW you own will be added to the policy for the princely sum of £25. To put this in context my K1200S valued at £7,500 with 6 years NCB was costing me £102 fully comp. When I added the HP2 I was required to fork out another £120. So essentially the HP2 is costing me circa £200 a year fully comp and the K1200S £25 on top. I will get the exact numbers when I renew my policy next December.

thanks for the info,i have two multi bike policys with the bikes on ,will only need one now though ,one multi policy would not put the hp2 on ,lucky the other phoned me back . the companies that i found most competitive were in this order.
1 lexham insure
2 bennets
3 motorcycle direct
4 carol nash
the 0800 numbers turned out the dearest.
the funny thing was for a couple of bikes with one company £350 plus, red star were going to be the insurers, when i phoned another it was £200 and it was red star as well ,when i said i had just phoned another broker and the same company were were £150 cheaper the price suddenly came down to match ,i don't mind paying a fair rate eh??.i did ask why and the answer was ,oh that's insurance . so now i ring them all and play the same tricks .and then say i will ring back ,funny a day or so before the policy runs out they ring back with better quotes.
