Hope somebody can help... I have two bikes 12GS and a Moto Guzzi V7. Both insured under a multi bike insurance policy with Adelade.... All good.

My policy is up in mid may and this year I want to add my girlfriend so multi bike/multi rider.... Both Adelade & CN say this is a no-no and i must either go Multi Bike/Single Rider or Single Bike/Multi-Rider.

So my options are as follows(I think)

1. I Insure both bikes under seperatel policies and get her named on the V7
2. Transfer title of the V7 to her and we both insure seperately, I can ride the V7 3rd party on my policy.
3. Drop kick her and enjoy myself riding both bikes :augie

Any other cunning options out there as none of the above are workable?

Could she get a policy on a bike that she doesnt own?

Any help appreciated lads.... She is on learner permit and really only wants to use my V7 to get a bit of saddle time in before her test, long term she'll most likely get her own wheels

Cheers,
John

I'm sure someone will be along shortly to correct me but AFAIK that's the only (properly legal) way you can go.

An ideal learner bike :D

I'm sure that's how our car insurance works, I'm only a named driver on the wife's policy. More insurance companies to be checked. FYI BMW insurance won't cover any other marque, so my two beemers and Ducati are now with Ducati Insurance, who are really equity red star

Thanks for the replies guys.... Who would have thought(not me last week!!) that option #3 would come to pass...!! Hey ho, where's the bar!!

Seeya on the road.... :thumb
