Picking up my airhead tomorrow, just wondering who you guys are using for classic insurance?

I’m maxed out on NCB on 3 bikes so I’m faced with adding this to one of their policies or starting afresh. I know some classic insurers neither accept or give NCD on their policies.

So, who do you recommend?

TIA
Rich.

I'm using Cherished Vehicle Insurance for 3 Airheads & a Z900.....
Previously with Hagerty....
A nice chap on here reccomended CVA, who were very competitive compared to Hagerty who I'd used for over 20 years....

I use Footman james who seem very good, they also let me put my newer bikes on as I had a classic policy with them. Based in Dudley

If it helps I've got mine through Swinton/Markerstudy Fully/comp £64.00 standard cover.
When I got my R100, did the rounds, it was expensive to add to my current bike policies. In the end I went with Peter James, recovery, agreed value etc for around £120. It was over £100 more, but they are the partners with the VMCC, so join the VMCC for around £50 and then you get discount with Peter James. With the VMCC you also get a glossy mag each month, which is a good read. Without the Peter James discount, nearly everyone else was in the same ball park. Tried, Lynbrook, Peter Best, Footman James, RH Insurance and Bike Sure Classic.

Another vote for footman james. Excellent policy. You speak to real people. Multi bike.

RH also let’s you have modern bike on classic policy….and they are real people you speak to …..

Ended up with Ageas via Swinton online.

3000 miles, fully comp, no excesses at all.

I tried changing the excess from zero to £500 and it made absolutely no difference to the quote.

Including 90 days full policy cover in the EU.

I’ve no NCB to use on this policy.

IAM member, 67.

Garaged

£95 which I’m ok with.
