Insuring a Bitsa R80/100 etc

I'm keen on buying Big YellowGS's Bitza project linky linky , but having fun with insurance due to its mongrel nature.

any recommendations to a insurance company who might be helpful?

I was thinking the same...I think Ebike allow four mods..then you may need an engineers report etc etc

It's only the headlight, exhaust and mudguards that aren't standard airhead parts.

The forks, wheels, swinging arm, subframe and bevel box are from a 76 R90/6 - The original parts from this one http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=224276 so it's got a UKGSer provenance

If it gets nicked your unlikely to get it back so who's going to know that it was modified and you would have to do a massive amount of damage to get the insurance man out to look at it, and then only if you are claiming on a FC policy.

If it were not for the help/support (and plentyful parts supply ) from the ukgs airhead community the bike would never have got built! I am pretty gutted to have to sell her.. but I've got a new adventure to embark on early next year and right now I just can't justify keeping her languishing in the garage.

Jimbo's coming to take a look saturday and I'm therefore hopefull we can sort out a fair deal and she will at least go to a good home (and stay within the ukgs community).
