I've ordered an RP1 so that I can give it a whirl next weekend while I go away for the weekend with my parnter. It arrives on Tuesday so I won't have much time to muck about with it (leaving on Thursday) so any help with the following will be appreciated:

1) Where did you install it?
2) Did you wire it up direct to the battery?
3) If 'yes' to the above, is the a problem with the bike loosing it's settings if disconnected from the battery and thus requires a visit back to the dealer to reset?
4) Does the unit draw power from the battery while connected but not to the headsets?

Any other advice or top-tips regarding installation would be welcome.

Still in the south of France here, so have only just logged on otherwise I would have replied sooner.

I installed mine in the big void under the leading edge of the front seat, simply cable tied it to the thing that sits on top of the air filter.

Wired mine to a switched live otherwise the unit will drain the battery over a period of about a week;

Gotta run as my acess is about to be terminated, good luck mate.

Steve
