intercom v custom plugs

Gents,

I am in the market for either a new intercom system or go down the custom plugs route. I need to be able to listen an iphone & pick-up calls on the move. I know a couple of guys here are in the 'plug' game so would welcome any advise. I would think 99% of the time I do not carry a pillion so the intercom option is not essential.

Custom plugs with headphones won't let you talk on the phone. You could listen to your iPod through them - but not take calls.

If you want to speak as well as listen then you'll need some sort of intercom, but you can still have custom plugs with an intercom.

As Mr NKG just said the custom monitors offer no speech capability so for speech you will need to combine the custom ear plugs with some other comms system.

At Ultimate we are well used to adapting Bluetooth systems for monitor use and our monitors can also be used in combination with any of the Starcom/Autocom/IntaRide offerings.

I have an adapted Scala system or an Interphone system and an Autocom depending on need, mood, helmet
