So a work colleague has just sold his old bike, a tasty CL350, through Car and Classic and I've gone on for the usual trawl and ended up on BMWs...😂 All sorts on offer and some totally laughable prices for so called "custom" airheads...🙄🙄 And then this:

Hope the link works and I imagine it'll offend some of the R90 brigade but a 90s racer custom before they became the fashion item they are now and with a sensible price...

A very interesting bike with a lot of modifications. Would be a great track bike if quiet enough. There's a lot to like about the bike.

From a slightly purest stance, I think calling it a R90S is a bit of a stretch, however, as all the R90S bits have been taken off (the heads are not R90S, which is the main distinguishing factor on a road bike). It may have engine and frame numbers to match but they are (skilfully?) left off the photo and description.

Yep, yer right...👍😂 Perhaps the dellortos were the original parts...😂

Why is the engine at such a jaunty angle?
Looks odd.

It’s to improve lean angles before the rocker covers touch down.
I believe it’s also for a straighter line for the shaft drive……but I could be wrong

Makes me laugh that as someone who still looks at airheads, especially original RT's, a quick reminder of the stupid problems highlighted on this section makes me shy again...😂👍 Still might be back one day...😁

A few things, like the open bellmouths and the square exhaust runner make the engineer in me go blech! On the other hand it's quite appealing. I wouldn't kick it out of bed :aidan

Raising front line of engine means you cannot access the oil filter…
It’s guy, but as a track bike it’s probably a bit of fun…..

As an antidote I found this also...👍😁

I’ve got 2x sets of those leg guards if anyone fancies a set
I had Aeroguards on an 11GS and now unobtanium but seeing the old school version had me thinking of a set to make up myself, not helped by binning all my old screens when we moved...🙄🙄 I rode a 100GS once which had these fitted and for a classically fugly addition they were effective... The wind resistance probably helped to offset the woeful brakes 😂😂
