The stall: Coming back from a trip, the bike died climbing a hill — no warning, just cut out. Restarted immediately and got home fine, no further issue since.
The fault code: Pulled a "no signal or value" fault on the EKP (fuel pump) circuit. Freeze frame:
Error rate: 36 (intermittent, recurring)
Engine speed: 2400 rpm
Vehicle speed: 0 km/h
Battery voltage: 13.09V
EKP BTS voltage: 12.91V
Test conditions met, error present and already stored
Fault would not illuminate a warning lamp
The bulbs: Right headlight bulb has blown and been replaced twice. Just installed a ceramic socket on the most recent repair. Left bulb has also now blown.
My question: Given the repeat bulb failures alongside an intermittent EKP signal dropout, I'm wondering if this points to a shared upstream cause — bad ground, corroded connector, or a regulator/rectifier issue causing voltage instability — rather than two separate problems. Has anyone seen this combination before on a hexhead RT?
Any pointers on where connectors tend to corrode first on this generation, or known weak points in the harness that relates to the fuel pump and heat lights. Any help is very much appreciated!
