Help Please. I've recently, hopefully, junked IE 7,A few weeks after changing to a BT Voyager 2500V Router , is this the way to go? and initially couldn't get on-line so I created a new account and ended up with 4 settings in Network Connections
Two that I had before, Broadband and Dial Up, one called LAN or High Speed Internet, and the one that is now connected at a far higher speed, 1.2 Mbps, than I have ever achieved called Internet Gateway :nenau :nenau
What is Internet Gateway . Thanks.

ADSL Router

In real terms what you have is two sides of a "router"

You have the LAN side (Local Area Network) which consists of all the pc's/devices you have connected at home, to the ADSL Router/modem, then all the traffic from all the devices is channelled through the "internet gateway" or WAN (Wide Area Network).

The internet gateway is merely the Internet side of your router, ie the connection from your router to your ISP (and beyond) whereas the LAN side is the connections from your pc (or pc's) to your router.

I hope this helps?
