Hoping I can pick some collective brains...

I have just attached an interphone to my helmet (Arai Ram3 - but just as quiet/noisy as my full-face Arai). I have 'mated' it to my Zumo 550 but the volume is really disappointing.

I have tried the 'tweak' to increase the volume on the interphone unit but with earplugs in it is inaudible and without I can only just hear the GPS up to 40mph - above this is no good at all.

All the write-ups indicate that it should be better than this...is it me? Is there a tweak on the Zumo that I need to do to increase the volume?

Incidentally...my hearing is excellent...eh? Honest...:rob

Stupid question, but have you turned the volume up on the garmin? Ive got the same set up as you and can here fine. The only problme I have is making sure that the ear phone is over my ear.

Not a stupid question - but yes, I have. I'll double check everything again. Can you hear OK even with earplugs in? And to what speed (er...up to 70mph of course)? Thanks

Yes can hear fin at 70mph, Girlfriend has one as well so we can talk bike to bike with no problems. I use motohaus ear attenuators. They have noise filters so instead of killing all sound they just take the edge off the wind noise. Have a look at hein garrick as they stock them.
