hey hon - can't be there as am running a Duck Race at Ballasalla on that day for the charity I raise money for. £1 a duck if you wanna come and giggle at us wading around catching the little buggers. 90 little yellow floating (on their sides) ducks, escaped the net last year - but we raised over £2500 so can't be bad.
perhaps come down there; 2pm kick off ... nice cafe opened by Castle Rushen if you wanna come?
and Darkhorse ... if you are here a week later ... come up to Ramsey Shoprite on the Sat 13th and put a £1 in the bucket (to have your bag packed between 10am and 4pm).
Both events are raising money for the Isle of Man Adoption Service. It's National Adoption week from the 1st - 7th Nov ... hence the surfit of activities
had a great day on Sunday .... and luckily not a hint of the coming storm that night .....
raised over £3500 for the charity ..... another £750 or so today ..... and our bagpacks on Saturday will see our figure hopefully more than £5000 for Adoption week.
A busy week ... and well worth the frozen feet from standing in water (not sure why I bothered with the wellies) catching lots of yellow, plastic ducks. Couldn't feel my feet for 2 hours afterwards
