Heya,

Well - our bit of the forum has been rather quiet for a few weeks. So - I thought I would see if folks wished to meet up for ride out and/or meal?

Carol and Geoff have sold their bike (replacing it with a rather nice MG :D - )and, of course, we have had to as well - but it would be lovely to catch up with everyone.

Fancy a pot of tea at Niarbyl - all rather civilised ;)

Date I had in mind was the 10th August around 1pm. OR we could book a table in the evening and watch the sunset. What do folks reckon?

Let me know and I'll book the table - either at 1pm for a lunch or 7pm for dinner.

We're also having a camp-out on the 1st/2nd August down at Glen Wyllin to celebrate me birfday and just have a bit of a giggle. If you fancy a night in the tent or just want to come and have a drink - you are very welcome (as always :)). Call me on 225577 for details of times etc.

By the way - at the BBQ - someone brought a bread basket which we still have and piebaps - we still have one of your icepacks - so we can give those back on the day.

If you can't make it - I'll post about getting together in September sometime and hope to see you then.

9th of August works for me. Grainne is off Island so I'll be home alone and can make either 1.00pm or 7.00pm whichever suits best.

Happy bidet for 1st weekend. We can't make it unfortunately. We are off to Southport Superbikes to do some test riding:aidan

Zoinks! I did mean the 10th.:blast

I got a 2008 GS @ 10.00, an ADV @ 11.00 and an RT @ 12.00

Jason Griffiths didn't have any of those on demo so I had to go off Island.

Had a go on the Guzzi Stelvio last week. Nice bike and a great noise too. Shame about those silly jap style indicators though:augie

Hey Guys ... I think this weekend might be better left til DeeTee is over as we are having to get the van ready for her re-test (being that she is being driven to the Lakes on the 17th .. and she ain't road legal yet ). She failed her test :blast but only really minor things (ie brake pedal rubber needs replacing; lamps need realigning - which Derm had forgotten to do :blast and a couple other brake issues etc) so he'll need this weekend to get everything ship-shape and Brunhilde-fashion!

Dave - since you were the only one to answer ... if ya fancy coming for a cuppa ...please do we would love to see you. Robert saw Grainne at the Youth club thingy in Cronk-y-Berry ... he said he was too shy to go say "hello" as he couldn't remember her name ... ahh bless!! He is really enjoying the youth holiday scheme! His mother is NOT enjoying have to drag her ass out of bed every day tho' to get him over to Douglas and then pick him up again at 4PM. I booked it tho' so silly arse I am eh? Keeps him (and me) out of mischief!!

So .... how about the Weds of Race week .... we meet at Niarbyl for dinner in the evening? 7pm? Who's up for that? Large group or small - we'll be there :-) and looking forward to seeing "The Hat" .... :beerjug: I'll book upstairs with Anthony so that we have a nice view :D

Much love guys and wish us luck with the van retest on Monday!

Robert will be pleased to know that i am coming over on a KTM !:eek:
I've traded my 640 SM for a 950 SM and it is booked in for its' 1st Service at Road & Track on Tuesday. The Hat wiil be on the Island with me underneath it. :thumb

OK Dave ... now you DO know that if you are coming over on the KTM - Rob will want a ride on it!! There ain't no getting out of it I'm afraid .. the boy is rather smitten.

You remember Crystal and Robert from Holland on their KTM? (they are hopefully moving over by the way ..sometime in the New Year) ... anyway - Rob was taken on the back of Roberts bike .... they weren't allowed to go back to Holland unless they took him ... (and that was Rob not us!!:P).

See you soon honey ... have a safe journey!

Okey Dokey. I will have my new 1200GSA by then too:augie

In fact by 24/08 It should have had its first fuel pump failure and be ready for its first EWS failure.

PS anyone interested in a 2005 1200GS?:D

See you Sunday ... and then on the 27th! Good stuff!! Good luck with the rugby pitch marking. I hope its not anywhere near the Sulby show ... it ain't pretty up there at the moment ... bloody mud everywhere .. a mini Glasto!! ..oh and all those nice clean and new tractors!! What WERE they thinking?

Excellent...see you there...BTW...can you play a banjo??? :thumb

No!! :blast that's why I'm selling it :D

Dave - me dear - go down to the Peel Coast Road from the Cronk-y-Voddy ... go towards Peel; through it then on to Patrick and Glen Maye. Once through there you will get to Dalby and just as you get through the very small village (just a few houses) you will notice a white/black sign that says Niarbyl in red. Turn right down there ... and go to the visitor centre where the restaurant is. Mind the car park .. its gravel (not my friend on a bike :().

See you there me dear ....... and CharleyFarly too! All welcome of course!
