IOM Meets in August

Hmmmm ... well if today is anything to go by with delays .... we may be late for dinner on Weds. Hope not!!

Looking forward to seeing whomever can make it on the evening....weather permitting with racing and roads opening on time :)

It was fun watching the LOUD classics out today! One poor rider - BOTH his bikes broke down at Douglas Road Corner .... he brought number 41 in and then during the practice run (which he barely made it back for) his other bike, #54, broke down too. He wasn't impressed!!!

Sad to see today that one of the riders (in the classic race) died today from his crash at Ballacraine. He was 67 and racing in the classics for many years. How sad. RIP John Goodall.

Just brings it home.

Not looking good for tonight...talk of the mist lifting mid afternoon :blast

No ... I know. Spoke with piebaps and with Dee Tee .... and then spoke with Niarbyl. Niarbyl (Anthony) isn't happy with us delaying til later as he has no other bookings for tonight around that time ... SO ... I said I would let Anthony know by 5 - by which time we will know what is happening with the roads ...let alone the racing.

If not tonight ...maybe better to meet tomorrow evening (Anthony said that would be fine) ...can we play it by ear abit?? or folks can come to the Mitre for a jar??? tonight or tomorrow ...we're not really too fussed.

speak later me dears,
Moo x

ps I don't have Charlyfarly's mobly number .... does anyone else have it? If not .. Charly if you get read this ...my mobly is 07624 225577.

Well, an hour later than scheduled due to the racing starting late - we all met up at Niarbyl. It was a small, informal gathering of the usual suspects ... but with a few new additions .... Dee Tee's (Rob wants a ride me dear!!) and Piebaps new little number.

Thanks for this evening me dears! Always good to see you and look forward to the next one!!

Moo x

Twas good to meet up with such a Select Bunch Of Tossers !! I only got back Home Today as i changed my Ferry Crossing from Sat AM to Mon AM due to the need for Marshalls for Saturday. I only got 2 TT laps in all week (on Sunday, after the Moto GP) but it was either showery or Roads were wet due to previous Rain .
I had a quiet time at Lamb Fell 3 but got some Action on Sunday. A Ford Explorer 4X4 travelling against the TT Course spun out at Sarah's on damp tarmac. The car punched the Banking on both sides of the road before coming to rest nose first into the Wall just before Glen Helen. Both passengers (LOCALS !!) were OK, and walking about, both Air Bags had Deployed. There was a Lady taking care of the occupants so i just moved round the corner to stop anyone else joining the carnage.
There are a couple of Race Meetings at Jurby before the end of the Season,so i might be over again.:thumb

That poor wall between Sarah's and Glen Helen doesn't get treated very well:(. Quite a few tend to come a croppa on that corner.

Dermot was on the Erinville flag on Saturday and was the man to hold out the red flag to the 20-odd bikes coming over the crest. He got a few, well, we shall say "gestures" from some of them as they all pulled in at Douglas Rd Corner. One guy was happy as I "found" an allen key for him to tighten up a bolt which was coming loose ... so he said he was quite pleased - but the others were a wee bit pissed off. The racing was GOOD wasn't it? and for Dan to get three wins this week ... well .... that was just FAN-BLOODY-TASTIC!! The Kneen family strike again .... 4 times!! We'll be up at Jurby to help out too .... and to watch Dan and Ryan. Roll on TT for them both? what dya reckon?

PS Thanks for your text Charley. I hope you got mine back!! See you next year mate.

Moo x
