Since upgrading to 8 and then 8.0.2 its been pants.

Solved tonight with:- Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings

You'll need to reconnect to your wifi but it's done the job for me. :thumb2

I foolishly updated to IOS 8 and it has been a disaster with lots of problems, eg wifi drop out and intermittent lock ups, go slow and freezing. Having googled it, many users are very upset with similar problems. There has already been an interim update with another expected. A hard reset can ease things, but performance remains slower than with iOS 7. Apple had better sort this quickly or risk losing a major chunk of their reputation and customer base.

As someone who does a bit of work with commercial and public sector wifi, Apple kit is by far the most troublesome making and keeping connections.

If you do that though you presumably loose all saved wifi log ins, not just your 'home ' one?

It seems it's only partially resolved it for me. Wifi dependant apps still just seems to grind to a halt occasionally which is only fixed by a home/top button reset. Roll on the next update.....

IOS 8.1 Update

IOS 8.1 will be rolled out from today.

More important for me than a few new features is the suggestion that it will resolve some of the problems generated by 8.01 and 8.02. I will wait to see the evidence :(

Let us know how it works! 8.0.2 buggered my iPad 3, so I haven't updated my iPhone's nor mrs Berin's iPad mini. Nor have I yet updarted to Yosemite, which leaves my photostream in limbo

Updated to 8.1 last night on my iphone 5 - phone seems to be running faster now and several apps that weren't showing an app image now do so.
Camera roll is now back too

8.1 seems much better so far on my air. Will do the kids 3 later and see how that fares.

Updated to 8.1 on a iphone 4s and ipad2. Phone update went all ok.

Ipad2 didn't quite go as smoothly, seemed like it had been bricked for an hour or so, finally came back to normal after a few hours & 6 reboots.

Nice to see the camera roll again

iOS 8.1 update seems to be working

So far so good with the 8.1 update, my iPad is far more stable and running quicker. I will give it another day then think about updating my iPhone as well.

But why Apple didn't get it right to start with?

Anyone had any issues with their Nav 5 connecting to Basecamp since installing Yosemite?
