Hi All, If like me, you like using iPhoto DO NOT update Yosemite as it takes away this great little programme and replaces it with Photos, from the little I've looked at it so far, it seems a programme designed for the casual user & iPhone mob, so not a lot of good for anyone who wants to do basic but controllable editing. I'll post this in the photo section too, don't suppose you can un-install it:( Cheers:beerjug: John B

iPhoto

Whoops, :blastjumped the gun a bit there, iPhoto still in launchpad and operational, doesn't want to sit in task bar when not in use tho'. Silly old fecker, best to look first before complaining:augie Cheers:beerjug:John B

No, you are right. updated today and lost iPhoto

It's still in Launchpad or Applications but you may as well get used to Photos as iPhoto won't be there forever. Had a bit of a fiddle with it, at first it seems like a step back but all the functionality is still there it's just different.

Not had a good look Dave ... but with my albums in iPhoto being categorised in 'events' I can easily find a photograph that I'm wanting. With 'Photos' they're merely listed in date order, if I'm not mistaken. So is there an easier way of sorting them in 'Photos' other than just in date order?

When you open Photo go to albums and you'll see an album called iPhoto events, all the events are within that folder. In future you will need to create an album for each new event the filing system will then be basically the same as iPhoto.

Anyone worked out how to get the latest albums/events at the top? The default seems to be that the latest dates are lways at the bottom, which means having to continually scroll down to the bottom
