IPAQ/Pocket PC/Windows Mobile Error Codes

Evening Techno Boffins or not as the case may be...

I have for better or for worse an IPAQ 2570, worse when I have any contact with HP which since having a new screen implanted often starts with an error message 'Error Code 100' and asks for a soft reset (oh err).

Does anyone know where I might find a list of error codes for aforesaid processor/machine or know what code 100 means?

i take it its giving the same error after a hard reset as well ?

Hi Unshift

I have not gone there - a tad fearful of losing my data and having to reconfigure everything, bit of a chore, and although I am recieving this error message, everything appears to be working fine.

Any thoughts?

no sorry this one has me stumped, difficult tracing it without doing a hard reset, but as per initial post it does point to hardware -

suggest:

go to the hp website and find one of the relevant forums and mention it there see if anyone comes up with anything

what bios version are you running i see the latest one is ver 1.10 from the 20 June 05. they will prob recommend updating this as a first step (however 9/10 it will perform a hard reset after upgrade)
