IPhone 3g problem

I've got a 2nd hand Iphone 3g which is apparantly open to all networks and has been used by the previous owner with both a Vodafone and O2 SIM in the UK although the phone came from China....

I've tried both my own Vodafone SIM and another one plus both together, but it's coming up with NO Service. I've checked the settings best I can and done a search on google.

Anyone know what's wrong?

Sync it with the sim you want to use installed
Thats how my unlocked 02 phone worked

Yep i would do the same. Once youve done that you might have to turn it off and back on again.

Being a numpty I don't know too much about these things and bought the phone off Ebay, described as an Iphone.....but....yes I know I should have been a detective.......did a bit of research and found it to be a fecking cheap Chinese flippin copy.
