Anyone used an Iphone 5s with the morphie battery pack, im keen to get a mounting system that will allow for the installation of the iphone and morphie into a bike mount so any advice much appretiated.

The morphie i have is same as this http://www.mophie.com/shop/iphone-5/juice-pack-air-iphone-5

Any ideas on what i could use??

Seen some of the packs on ebay that claim to be water proof http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Arkon-Bik...K_iPad_Tablet_Accessories&hash=item3a91827d5b , would also like to make use of the connection on the GS for GPS that is wired in as standard.

Hi,

I've got my iPhone wired into the topbox by running the audio outlet from the Autcom under the seat back through a hole I drilled in the front right hand corner of the topbox. I then wired a cigarette lighter socket into the accessory socket for power. This gives me music, audio from the sat nav (I'm using CoPilot) all out of sight. It is a basic solution but it has worked well for me.

I'm using a Garmin GPS60CSx on the handlebars for visual clues although I'm having better success with writing next directions on the top of the fuel tank in grease pencil (chinagraph for the military types).

All I need to do now is work on a waterproof, bluetooth home button for the handlebars to activate Siri (although I have had limited success with Siri up in Scotland where I can't get a mobile signal).

Cheers

An iPhone using GPS, runs through its internal batteries really quickly. Better to wire an ubs charger connected to switched power on the bike.

I use a Ridermount holder on a Ram mount, works really well over the last 5/5 years running co pilot software..

Don't need a Garmin and don't need a camera or a MP3 player.

Thanks for the thoughts, Charles is it this http://www.ridermount.com/home/cate...hone-5/iphone-5-ram-ball-2/iphone-5-ram-ball/ you use??

What do you run for the power i was looking at this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390662618749?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT and wiring it into the GPS power available via one of these plugs from nippy: http://www.nippynormans.com/product...mtom-gps-into-the-bmw-harness-gar-canbuszu660 cant for the life of me find the BMW connection for £8 that a lot of the forums talk about.

Just wanted to see how you were getting the power as i thought the phone will eat battery when running GPS.

I used one of these as supplied by rider mount

http://www.ridermount.com/home/categories/cables/usb-sockets/

If hidden it underneath the tank, with the apple power lead permanently attached and weather proofed with self amalgamating tape. My bike is from 1975, so no issues with Canbus, it's wired into switched power, so the USB charger does not consume power when the ignition is off.
