iPhone B/T audio from Waze/Tomtom Go

I use various satnav apps - Waze/Tomtom Go in addition to Google maps for directions on my iPhone in the car.
When I’m on the bike and using my Tomtom 550 the instructions are transmitted via BT through a Sena 10R comms unit. However if I use my phone instead I cannot hear Waze or Tomtom Go through the earpiece, but the spoken directions from Google Maps come through clearly.
Any suggestions please?

I would have tought that the TomTom would be connected on one channel of the headset (speech into the headset) whereas the phone would be connected on another channel (speech in and out of the headset).

Thanks for responding - you’re right, but that would be a dedicated satnav on the other channel.
However, that doesn’t really explain why I can hear the directions on the phone in my Sena headset from Google maps but not the Tomtom Go or the Waze app.

IIRC with Waze you need to go into the Waze settings to specify the audio output
