iphone control of times of email

perhaps I need to explain more?
on my old Nokia I could program it under settings to only pick up emails mon-friday 8am -5pm or whatever. ie only be disturbed by work emails whilst at work etc?

Turn off push then check your emails periodically. Not ideal but I don't know of and can't see another method.

yes, i thought of that... but if the iphone wants to be a useful business tool, this needs sorting? don't you think?

if you use a desktop charger just place a 3.5mm jack plug in the back of it. When you put your iphone in it at night it will silence emails and text's but not calls or alarms. Likewise if you just stick a 3.5mm jack plug in the top it will do the same. Buy the plug from maplins for a few pence

Nope, it only checks them periodically or manually.
You cannot set time spans for email download.

I was just hoping there was an app for it? but there are so many to look through gave up!

Not really sure. Haven't checked, but normally Apple doesn't let third party developers put other browsers or email apps on the App Store.

I have multiple accounts: work and two personal ones on the iPhone and I just disregard the work inbox when I want/need to.

you need to have profiles, which nokia have done for years but apple don't. there's an app for jailbroken iphones that might do the job. I ran it for a while and found it similar to nokia's way of doing things.

I just couldn't get on with iPhone for business and went back to BlackBerry.

OK for personal stuff though.
