My iphone isn't sending text messages to wifeys phone anymore (also an iphone) and i'm buggered if we can work out how! It sometimes won't send pictures to my mate (again iphone) or wifey. Been through the settings and nothing has been changed. If wifey sends me a text it comes in as if it's been sent as an email. That comes to my ipad the same! Any clues anyone?

If it's coming up blue as a sent message, it's using tinternet as a free iPhone to iPhone message, if it goes green, it's a normal message using SMS, if there is no tinternet access it won't arrive, but time out, and ask to send it SMS,

You must be able to opt one of the other, but it have only had a iPhone a few weeks and have yet to work it out!

My suggestion is to start fresh chat threads between your wife, mate and yourself and make sure your sending them to iphone number. They need to do the same.

Settings --> Messages --> Send & Receive --> Select your phone number under "Start new conversations from"

i think the colours are more random now. i get purple ones for instance.

But the different colour coding obviously means something. Sometimes texts I send my boy show in green, sometimes they're blue. I think it depends on what settings he has on his phone when I send them.

I don't mean to be flippant, but have you tried switching it off and back on again?

No, but you'd be surprised how often it sorts out little glitches.

It'll cost him nothing to try it.

It's just the same as rebooting your PC, cures problems most of the time and nobody seems to no how.
