iPhone/iPod dock extension cable...

The iPhone won't sit in the dock with its case on, nearly everyone has a case of some sorts on they're iPhone

Now I would have thought you would be able to get an 'extension' cable to plug in to the iPhone/iPod docking station, plug in to your iPhone or iPod and use as if the phone was sat in the dock .... but no!

You can get a charging/data extension cable but your iPod or 'phone won't play the music etc through the docking station

Tried the Apple store, no they don't do one, but hey ... what a good idea

Anyone know of anything

Jet2 do some product that's may be of use.

I use one on the gs to receive remote commands whilst riding.

Just a small block allowing a dock connector in the bottom and the same out the top.

Doesn't work with an iPhone 4 with Apple Bumper. However I filed down the bottom of my Apple Bumper by quite a few mm and it now works fine. Works fine with iPod Touch with silicon case fitted and with an iPad with no case.
