Im wanting to link my iPhone up to my autocom but cant seem to find a peice of a kit im after anywhere.

Basically I dont want to scratch my iPhone, plus the cavity in the GS is too small now its full of other kit so want to keep my iphone in my pocket or tank bag and have to bluetooth to the bike.

Ive already got a Autocom bluetooth adapter going into my 1st connector on the autocom, I want something similar to the autocom adapter but it doesnt need to support audio out, just in.

Ive seen and have already got some little bluetooth solutions that have come free with phones where they are just used for sending audio over bluetooth to a aux in on a stereo or hifi and they are just the ticket. However I want oen that can be powered or at least charged by the bike.

Anybody seen such a kit or am I going to have to get me tube'o'araldite and make a mess of some kit ive already got????

Ive perused eBay and nothing.... :(

Hi Zerocool

I spoke to Autocom at the NEC bike show a few years back about trouble finding adapters and connectors form the phone I had at the time. They told me that Autocom will custom make your connectors if you send them the earpiece bits.

Not too sure if this is what you're meaning but it's certainly worth phoning them to see if they can sort out your problem. You never know!

Best of luck! :thumb

not a bad idea however I know I could use the autocom solution already available but its just too dear for me.

I was hoping of finding a normal bluetooth solution, £20 ish, autocom is £75ish

A solution

Think ive found a solution after browsing hundreds of webpages.

And guess what.... I already own one, got given it free last year with a phone contract. :blast

Ive dug it out and stuck it on charge, ill let you know if it works. :bounce1

back to the drawing board.....

iPhone doesnt support my bluetooth adapter.

It doesnt support the protocol used by audio dongles, only proper headsets.

I wonder if they do a headset where you can use a set of headphones instead of a inner ear job.
