Going Leenane at end of the month and wanting to spend a couple of days (2) exploring the Donegal coast up northwards and then across to the Antrim coastline, maybe Ballycastle area and then back down to ferry at Belfast
Only have 2 days (Monday and Tuesday) & nights so just looking for accommodation recommendations for the 2 nights and anything worthwhile to see & roads to ride
Just a Donegal and Antrim ‘taster’ at this stage and I know I need more time to really do the area justice

Lovely area JB ....

Fullerton Arms, Ballintoy ... a great hotel, warm welcome. Stayed there with the Irish lads on several occasions, and independently, I hope to be back later this year :thumb

Power cut, made us sandwiches and supplied bottled bier ... didn't charge. Power came back on, still supplied the bier FOC ....lovely place.

Caisleain Oir Hotel at Annagary ... absolute tops :thumby:

Look no further ....

Many thanks

Just follow the coast to Larne then a quick motorway blat into Belfast.

The scenery and coast road is pretty special. 👌. Enjoy
Thanks for the tips, now changed ferry............. to return from Larne to Cairnryan, so I can come down the coast road from Ballintoy

Folks-Keep the suggestions coming

Hi JB heres a 450 mile route for you with about eight Senic higlights marked as waypoints so that you can futter at it yourself. I'm sure more of the local contingent will have other good ideas. I've split it around Donegal Town Near the
Gleniff Horeshoe

Also JB - I know you have limited time but if I was to pick somewhere in Donegal to stop for the night it would be at Portsalon - lovely beach & harbour with a pub overlooking it - don't know about accommodation there tho but I'm guessing there would be something available for a night in the locality.

Wow !!!…Fantastic
Very much appreciated
I will save it to the PC and export to my sat nav

Coast road past Torr head is beautiful beyond words, but is notorious for motorcycle accidents. Keep strictly to speed limits!

What? I thought that GPS devices were reserved for idiots who do not know how to use a sheet of paper, a pencil and a map.

Welcome to the 20th century, if not yet the 21st, JB.

Sheep Island View provides good, cheap and clean hostel/bunk accommodation in Ballintoy. Two cracking pubs in the village, stayed there many times highly recommended.
