Hi all, me and a mate are planning to 'do' Ireland in first week of May so yr trip is a bit early for us. I'd love to have a copy of your route and rationale for the roads travelled. Since you've done all the hard work, I could make a donation to your charity for the Garmin Mapsource file?

Dingle

On the night of the 27th of April we will be staying in Dingle, it will be our 3rd night on the road and so I fancy staying in a B&B in a proper bed with a fully cooked breakfast to look forward to:D

That said....i've booked myself in here:

I won't be booking anyone elses digs for this particular night so you'll have to book your own!

If you fancy staying at the same place as me I believe there are still at least half a dozen rooms, a mix of Twin (£30 per person), Double (£30 per person), and Single rooms (£40 per person). The womans name is Angela and mention my name:D

The Route

My head has been right up my arse of late :augie
But as Wully has hinted the route is now all but complete :thumb2 usually a lot more organised but just need a final campsite in or around Ballycastle, there are loads of them so i'll sort that out later this week! :D

Its now all on Mapsource so pm me if you need a copy to upload to your GPS, those of you on maps,we will go through the route on the ferry across to Larne.
I'll make up a daily itinerary later this week and copy it for everyone. It will just have a daily account of where we leave from, where we stop for lunch etc etc. I'll also put some phone numbers on it, if anyone has a problem with their phone numbers being put down let me know.

Also need confirmation of all your registration numbers, it makes booking into campsites much easier if I have a list! Means that everyone can just ride in and set up their tent without forming a queue so to speak! :rob

Gonna pack my bike up this week, then i'll see what i'm missing :augie

I haven't sorted anything for this Kev as I will more than likely be staying at a friends house the night before about half an hours ride from the ferry :D

Quite right though, get it up and see if you can't get things organised a bit with everyone else.:rob

Not much movement on this forum, if I didn't know any better i'd swear that the only people going on this trip was Wully, Tara, Kev and Me :pullface

Picked her up from Service and Scotoiler fitting this morning and took her shopping - Tripod seat, new plate (colour matched to her bodywork) and nikwaxing kit as I type.

Where is everyone...how can I get into an excited frenzy if no one other than Kev, Wully, Chaz and me are posting....
 
Troon - Campsite, evening 24th

Struggling to find a site in/close to Troon. Only found one which only has pitches for 3 x tents + reviews stated only cold water available in toilets other than the 1 x shower. Phoned the guy and the cost is £12pp:( There are some campsites further afield I will look at
Also looking at B&B, seen a couple in Troon that look OK £30/35 pp. Will get something sorted tomorrow and post the outcome:thumb this time next week:beer::Motomartin :JB
