Irishman wins Deca Ironman event

Would MOL give him free Ryanair for life?

if he thought he would get enough publicity out of it i think he would

there have been interviews on local radio all day,he went from an overweight chain smoker to one of the fitest men on the planet :thumb2:thumb2

He would still need to do a marathon then cycle 116 miles and probably swim 2.4 miles to get to his destination if he did fly anywhere with them.:D

Hats off to Gerry though. Some achievement. I couldn't even manage a length of the pool.

fair play to the man,i hope his achievement dos'nt go unnoticed, a role model for youth and ordinary folk of what can be achieved with determination, if he were an overpaid footballer or the like it would'nt be off the news/tabloids.... its been a long time since we had the likes of a Sean Kelly/Stephen Roche type...

I cycled to Dingle via the Conor pass today ... 100 K - suppose that does not count? :D
One thing it does (apart from hurting) is to increase my admiration for your man from the midlands & I'm not talking about Frank :clap
