Anyone know of a source for vinyl IRL stickers? Preferably in NI? Need the small ones (9cm x 5cm), not the larger car bumper sticker type. Ta in advance ;)

Pardon me but I thought you didn't need them anymore with the EU plates? JJH

You southern boys just dont get it .
Mr Shuck , is doing either of two things .
1 he really is Irish , but is of english mentality , and is going to Europe / traveling , and does not want to declare his loyalties to the Crown
otherwise our Mainland European cousins would frown upon him , alas when he is Irish , he is welcomed Worldwide as ,Well Irish !.
2 he really is Irish , and wants to declare it to the World , and his neighbours ! ......

It hasnt gone away , Its still there festering away under the shiney veneer .

I always find an Ecosse sticker works well in France. Many French people appear to dislike the English intensely but as soon as you make it clear your Scots, it's a different matter entirely....:flag

I suspect it might be very similar pour les Irlandais.

There may well be similarities when you get to the Mainland . But its a WHOLE DIFFERENT CAN OF WORMS when your at
home here in Ireland . We have some seriously mixed up boys hangin here , Irish men that think there english ! ......
Funny thing is , when there in England Proper , there Paddies , just the same as Irish men that know there Irish !.

Anyhooo ,, Shuck Raider , i get my local graphixs producers to make my "Badges of Origin " i do get a great deal of entertainment with some of
them , but you have to get a man that knows a little about either Flags ,emblems , or History , otherwise you fall foul of those that simply dont know , and they are simply intimidated ! .. Billie is never pleased when i give them a "" Wee Shove "" she reckons
my day will come .

Very very true for sure; there are too many stories to tell at this late hour that demonstrate the phrase "les Irlandais" seemed to enable a completely different attitude i.e indifference morphed into helpfulness. But one thing you can't take away from the French is their capacity to be so elegantly unhelpful; no overt signs of hostility just that elegant shrug that says "sere eese nothing I can elp"

I'm with you. We have the same issue here, particularly through in the West with loyalist Rangers football team supporters, although I don't think even they would object an Ecosse sticker. That's true to the extent that you can walk into a Halfords and buy one off the shelf.

Strange thing is nationality; possibly the most famous adopted Irishman of all is 80 today - he molded a team of average players some of whom were more John Bull that Paddy Whack who played out of their various skins for Ireland & made us all sing Ole! Ole! Ole! Happy birthday Jack - strange old thing is nationality!

" ... miserable skinny Faux-Irish twat ... " (sez Fanum)

... and then there's the likes of me. ;)

I got my plate made up with NI in it. Causes quite a few Europeans to ask where I'm from. :D I presume it's not the slightest bit legal, but that doesn't bother me in the slightest, nor have I been pulled about it.

How dare you attempt to assert an individual nationality within the British Empire, you old rebel, you....:D

Well, I expected one or two replies, but.......:D

Previous experience sur le Continent indeed bears out that an IRL sticker eases one's passage through the niceties of interactions with some of the local populace :aidan

Thanks for the links, guys
