After years with a Scala headset and a few problems that were ironed out, I decided that whilst I could listed to the satnav okay, communication with Mrs Moto on the back still consisted of her shouting in my lughole or digging me in the ribs..

So I invested in a Scala Teamset. So far so good, BUT, what is the irritating beep-beep that the rider unit sends into my ears?

The original Scala never issued a peep or even a beep unless a button was pressed but this fecker beep-beeps at random intervals.

I thought it might be a charging problem, but even fully charged there it is, beep-*******-beep!

Any idea?

Try reading ...

... the little booklet that came with it :rtfm It's an audible warning that you are connected to another headset; beeps when it connects and disconnects:nenau

I think you'll find it's to VOX switching the unit on to tranmit. Happens even when nobother unit is in range. Switch off the VOX and use PTT, a little bit irritating as you have to do it every time you switch the unit on, but you soon get used to it.

Used a Q2 teamset for a trip in June and they worked very well, unit to unit up to 300 - 500 metres, the switch to mobile phone if longer range needed. Great for 2 bike trips but not really practical for bigger groups as youbwould have to 'daisy chain' the message through the group.

If I had the ******* manual I wouldn't have asked for help and been at the receiving end of your wit... Such as it is.
