I registered with the Boxertrix forum a while ago, tried to log in recently but my account has been deactivated, the site suggests that I contact admin to sort the problem, in order to do so I need to log in ..... the needle returns to the start of the song and all that!

I can't see another way of contacting anyone on the site without first logging in. I was wondering / hoping that someone 'over here' could take a look 'over there' and help me out.

Cheers in advance ladies :beerjug:

Scratch the request ladies, I just found the webmaster email address on the main home page :blast I've pinged them an email.

OK, So in the absence of any contact from the Boxertrix peeps .......

I'm trying to identify the apparatus that's supposed to mate with this socket. It's one of the seat hump fixings, the other is the conventional Dzus fixing, this one is something completely different and I can't find any reference to it??

Hi Chris,
I had a boxer cup and the seat was secured with the dzus fasteners on both side mate.
I don't remember the bike having that fitting anywhere. It's not for some after market rack system like Ventura is it?

Hi fella,

Yeah it could be I guess, I have no way of fitting the seat cowl !!

Im pretty sure the pre-99 r1100s had different types of seat cowl fitting fasteners as well. I think the earlier fittings were larger and more likely to lose the faster. Might be worth a real OEM check on the part numbers?

you could go to MaxBMW website, look at the parts lists / pictures
find your bike / year / model and see if anything shows up there

My 2000 model has dzus fasteners, have you tried Pelican Parts forum prob the best resource http://forums.pelicanparts.com/bmw-r1100s-r1200s-tech-forum/

I can only find the standard dzus fixing (which is on the other side of the seat) listed on any fiche anywhere. It certainly is a little mystery!

Cheers for the info from the fisches guys, however it's not the standard seat fixing that's confusing me, it's the one pictured which doesn't show up on any fisches, ideally I'd like to find out which male falice fastening goes in there! I've tried using my own but it's just too small ...... before you ask :D

Looks Standard to me!

That is Part 11 on the link I put up above

Part ten is the Mount Kit of parts 10 and 11

and Part 12 Is the Dzeus Pin

Hi Chris, I'm on Boxertrix too.
Seems to me too the same socket for the standard seat cowl "screws".

When I had a Boxercup I ordered a few from Motorworks.

So .... This is a standard seat fixing, as per Part 11 on the fiche. This is fitted on one side of my seat, it's the standard fixing, easily identified and not the problem ...

This is the fixing that I'm struggling to identify, it doesn't show up on any fiche (that I've found so far) so I was hoping that someone in the know might be able to identify it?

Chris the one with Words looks how I remember the ones I was working on

The other side looks like an after market one

why not just order a pair of the kit and then you get what is actually correct from BM or other suppliers?
