The only "beautiful" thing about it is that the seat, tank surround and bare gearbox finish shows that it was one of those horrible black ones and it means one less.

Correct? Clarkeson? Excuse my ignorance as an ex pat but isn't he a great big waste of space who makes a jolly good living by making outrageous and often offensive comments? Having never been a fan of television I don't bother to try and get the UK variety here so I only know of this person from hearsay. When in the UK I have occasionally seen this character in action and from what little I could stand before reaching for the remote it would appear that "correct" is one of the last adjectives one might use. I can think of many more appropriate ones!

It may have begun life as a K1 but it could equally have been an RS 16v. It actually looks like a development on the Egli bikes:

Yet another one who doesn't quite understand. The bike apparently belongs to Hammond, Clarkson is often very dismissive of Hammond's taste. I didn't really ask what people thought of Clarkson, the question was really about whether this, in the opinion of others, is tasteful or not.

Hammond's bike has a colour scheme which is a bit "tarts handbag". Not good. Would love the bike though.
Clarkson is a very intelligent man who has developed a formulaic character for TV which has been successful for 15 years. Good on him, making a very good living from a wind-up.
