Got a call this evening from a Certain Bike dealer in Finglas. For anonymity let's call the place Jim Duddys..
Had the bike serviced there 2 weeks ago for well over 300quids.
Then a new tyre last week ..

Anyway, this caller from said dealer informed me they had undercharged me by €4.16 and the accounts dept were on his back for the payment.

...I asked them to get the accounts feckwit to call me personally...

WTF?
Seriously, WTF?

They quoted you a price for goods/services, you paid that price after receiving said goods/services. If they later decide they didn't charge you enough they can ask but you don't have to pay. Especially such a piddling amount.

Four feckin euro:eek:

Have the receivers been called in.

It may be taken out of someones wages and there kids will be barefoot and hungry I would pay as I couldn't have that on my concions:tears

how dae ye spell concions

COUNTING . .

. . an actuary is one for whom a career as an accountant is way too exciting . .

given the locale, thats known as ....

how shall i put this.....

twisting the knife.

:hide

:D

Accountants will be accountants! If we have undercharged you, then thats our loss, not yours. Common sense should have prevailed before a phone call was made, at least now it has, so consider the matter closed Padge!

And lets all move on and get back to enjoying bikes.

I had my car, Skoda Octavia 1.9TDi, serviced last month. Diagnostics done, oil and all filters changed, tyres checked, all the usual stuff. Done in 90 mins.
Bill a few euro over €200 - call it €200, said the Service Manager.
Will I be back, will I consider buying another Skoda? Yes.
Would I, who have owned BMs since 1976, consider buying a R1200GS or the F(for fake)800? No, too few dealers, none in Limerick, and no customers service of any note, that might have persuade me to drag myself to the arrogance and indifference of Dublin, or the lack of product awareness and customer choice in Cork.
The €20K will go into a nice interest savings account, to join the €600 that I couldn't spend on buying a pair of BM jeans in Daffy's, because they were too busy to deal with me.
Or I might buy an FJR or wait for the new Yamaha XT1200, as an early pre-retirement present to myself.

I'll pay for it!!!!!!

I had my bike serviced by them last year. Leprechauns bike was in the same day for the same service,10000km. My bill came to €446.Leprechauns came to a tad over €400 and he got a new number plate made and fitted. I queried this and was assured that the bills had not been mixed up:(
I was rode, hot poker up the arse, call it what you like and the smug gits even charged me for a spare key that was being supplied free by bmw.
So Padge tell them to deduct it from my bill and **** them. Business is business and they cocked up. :thumb

SUPERANNUATION . .

. .any chance, NUD1E, you could put me on your invitation list for the great retirement bash; I could bake a cake & haul along some real ale.

TRANSALP . .

. . hot poker up the arse, Tom, that's how Hannibal got the elephants over the Alps, but sure, you knew that . .
