dont get sucked into that shit:rob

the F650twin is a superb bike BTW its an 800 not a 650 and some would say a better real world bike than the 800.

Dean of this parish has now done 24k on his come rain or shine sleet or shit up hill down dale and couldnt give a crap about that kind of talk:thumb

I have both, a 54 twin spark single and a 59 650 gs twin, Just look at some of the places they have gone, around the world is nowt for your bike, a girls bike, maybe but a better bike than most...
Beside that, whats wrong with girls riding bikes, more the merrier I say...Jenny Tinmouth, One of the best track riders in the UK...Patsy Quick, she has finished the dakar 2003 I think,Julia Sanders has been around the world many many times, Leslie Porterfold, she is the world fastest woman on a bike, over 230 mph.....
A good friend patsy rides a fireblade, and she dosent hang around ..So that means that fireblades are girlie bikes too....

Yeah, but you sold it.:D

I've got a 650 gs twin and it's fantastic bike, don't worry about what other people think and enjoy a great bike!

I never get this comment, the frame is identical, pegs same distance from seat, seat is same....

Anyway love my F650GS

I has to be said, YES its a girls bike, there you go you know now.
Get over it and go and enjoy the bike, and if you worry about what other people say about it, you should probably be using a different mode of transport, as there is NO section of population more opinionated than bikers.

LMAO here :D
at Mrs Ogs take on the thread topic;
"ah FFS! - is yer dick that small?"

It's a good bike for some ladies, including my neighbour - Ms Raboomdea. She loves hers and I'm pleased I talked her onto one and off her SV650 which she hated.

Light, punchy, handles quite well, low seat and lowered chassis options.

On the down side, the single disc leaves it underbraked which is probably just as well as it doesn't expose the shortcomings of the soggy front fork too much. Talking of which, the stanchions on my neighbour's bike are pitted with rust at just three years old.

All bikes are girls bikes. Those nimrods should review motorcycling history. In the 19teens the Van Buren sisters rode from New York to L.A. long before there were paved roads (even decent maps) in this country. (US) Theresa Wallach "The Rugged Road" rode from England to South Africa through the center of Africa, not the easy route along the coast in the 1930's. Ask those claiming this or that bike is a "girls" bike where they've been.

I have one :thumb I think it can be more of a magnet for small people regardless of sex or age :D :D but i'm just over 6'

I have photographic proof I caught a little fella throwing his leg over mine  :D

Brian Just ride it and no doubt you will keep smiling your just over 6 months on it and absorb the work banter it's how you deal with it that makes the day ;) , as you and others know its a great bike. :beerjug:

Can not say that Mine has ever felt under braked with the single disc :nenau

I know a fair few people look at single compared to twin discs and see it as this, plenty of new bikes out there with single disc and a lot heavier etc, you could say BMW built quite a good following and a good reputation out of single disc bikes :D

I agree the that the suspension is soft mine has been ohlined at rear and uprated at the front It corners like its on rails :D I supose you get used to things and just ride it. I had a loan F800GS last weekend small screen  low seat  and turning that big 21 with twin discs whilst slowly moving  on the go ok but grabbing the brake doesnt it dive  but half hour in all was good and like I said got used to things, glad to get mine back though :thumb

Rusting :eek so do you live beside the seaside, beside the sea :nenau :D :D
