Ok I took my F650gs twin to work today for the first time with a huge smile on my face

only to here my mate say: hey my friends wife drives that model of bike!! soooo you can imagine the stick i got for the rest of the day about a girly bike

anyway how many men on here ride this bike? I love it anyway
I have one

I think it can be more of a magnet for small people regardless of sex or age

but i'm just over 6'
I have photographic proof I caught a little fella throwing his leg over mine
Brian Just ride it and no doubt you will keep smiling your just over 6 months on it and absorb the work banter it's how you deal with it that makes the day

, as you and others know its a great bike.
On the down side, the single disc leaves it underbraked which is probably just as well as it doesn't expose the shortcomings of the soggy front fork too much. Talking of which, the stanchions on my neighbour's bike are pitted with rust at just three years old.
Can not say that Mine has ever felt under braked with the single disc
I know a fair few people look at single compared to twin discs and see it as this, plenty of new bikes out there with single disc and a lot heavier etc, you could say
BMW built quite a good following and a good reputation out of single disc bikes
I agree the that the suspension is soft mine has been ohlined at rear and uprated at the front It corners like its on rails

I supose you get used to things and just ride it. I had a loan F800GS last weekend small screen

low seat

and turning that big 21 with twin discs whilst slowly moving

on the go ok but grabbing the brake doesnt it dive

but half hour in all was good and like I said got used to things, glad to get mine back though
Rusting

so do you live beside the seaside, beside the sea
