Is it advisable to replace disc bolts when replacing a disc?

BMW recommend new bolts be fitted because they are micro encapsulated with thread lock at the factory.

Thats a new one ... 'micro encapsulated' .
if your new bolts have a different colour on its inserted end it has a thread locking compound fitted. The heat of it being inserted and tightened supposedly 'melts' the compound allowing it to flow..

TBH Warming the torx bit wont make a blind bit of difference to the bolts though it might singe your fingers. Warming the assembly to >100C will loosen the thread lock for strip-down. Carefully clean the threads and use thread lock on re assembly. New bolts make sense if only because the old ones are likely to be cruddy and ugly.

Why isn't Google your fucking friend then? :nenau :D

I think about my friends then I think about Google and the like and I just don't get that same warm & fuzzy feeling, you know?

I am however getting a nice warm & fuzzy feeling from just the thought of those new bolts I've just ordered so I suppose there might be hope for Google yet...
