I want to connect my bluesea aux fuse panel to my battery. How easy is it to lift the tank up just enough so I can connect the two cables to my battery?

Thanks

Seat off.
1 bolt at back of the tank on the right hand side.
Lift it up and prop up with a hammer or bit of wood.
All of about 2 minutes.

Very very easy.

10mm spanner, 6mm allan key and a foot long block of wood to prop the tank up.

Remove (tug off) the plastic side panel, undo the allan bolt that secures the tank on.

THERE IS A NON_CAPTIVE NUT BEHIND IT!!! that you will drop the first time, reach a finger behind the flange to stop it and you'll be fine....withdraw allan bolt, rescue the nut then lift the tank and prop up, then undo battery terms with 10mm spanner (do -ve first so if you touch the bodywork/tank with the spanner it won't weld itself to anything ;) )

Job done.

;)

Can someone tell him about not trapping the fuel line and disloging the cable thingy when you put the tank back on... :blast

Your right about dropping the nut the first time you remove it...
It caught me out!!! It took longer to fine the nut after it went walkabout than to do the job is was trying to do on the bike..

When you put the tank back down in place watch that the bushings don't fall out when you slip them between the mount the bolt goes through - good chance you won't notice which ever half is missing otherwise.

Good to see I'm not the only one that lost the nut! I never did find it.
