Is it only Mega mania now???

OK.
For the last six months or so my rear drive has had an intermittant leak/misting on the RHS. The slight oiling around the plastic cover could be cleaned off and not reappear for a thousand miles or so. Nothing to worry about then.
However, on a recent ride the misting turned into a definite dribble, but then seemed to stop again.
Once back home I cleaned under the plastic cover (some mud etc had got in) and ordered a new seal.
Whilst waiting for the seal I've changed the final drive oil (hardly less than 230ml came out) and travelled another 500miles. And guess what, no leaking/misting.
Should mention, there's no free play anywhere, and the oil, though tired looking (7000 miles since last change) had no bits in it.

So, do I put the new seal in now, or do I wait until the old seal starts leaking again (if ever)?

How's that BD?

B*gger, just realised - this could apply equally to a megamoto :blast

The Enduro is just soooooooo yesterday!

:D
The HP2 Enduro also comes as a true SuperMottard :bow not a fashion accessory for the Kings Road :ymca or Carnaby Street :pullface

Just remember The GS refers to either Gelände/Straße (German: off-road/road). :mmmm
You are the imposters :D in this fourm and are only here as guests, with your fashion accessory tarts hand bags :blagblah
Knobs rule :hide

Despite the fog and poor visibility, I can't see much tarmac in this picture :D :D

I would guess there's more than a few GS's where the only time their wheels have been off road is when they're pushed across the lawn to the shed :augie

I've also seen a few HP2E's competing in off road rallies in Wales and Yorkshire :thumb2, I've also seen a few in showrooms that have clearly never seen a anything wetter than the sponge that washed them  .

It's not what you've got, but what you do with it that counts :D :thumb2.

We can all pull of the tarmac and have a fag:augie

It certainly wasn't intentional either :) It was a pass in Italy, looked ok on the map, then the tarmac ran out. Fuel light was on and I didn't have enough to go back acording to the satnav, 7 miles on I got back on to tarmac, but only for a mile, before it ran out for another 5 :) :)

But worth it when it opens out onto this :D :D

It's what makes the memories of a trip though :thumb

Maybe the mega should come with a spare set of Wheels so you can all come and play with your older brothers:D

Great story Joe - although it's funny how many people would be freaked out by riding on those conditions when you can find just as 'tough off-road' conditions in a car park. Good on you for pushing on :thumb2

Of course, if it had looked like this - you would've got a bow :P :D
