Dudes,
anyone know if this indicates its running lean, the plugs are new about 300 miles ago & i've been doing a bit of motorway running before the pic (about 80 mph) speeds, the plugs have a bit of rough stuff on them & not sure if it shows its its not running rich enough, btw I put the yellow plug back in about 500 miles ago (it wasnt plugged in when I got the bike. if anyone who knows how to read a plug can help I would be grateful,
if it is running lean should I take the yellow plug out I understand that make the ecu use a bit more fuel
bike is a 1150gs 41000ml single spark
cheers dudes !!!
John

unless you cut the ignition at 80, coasted to a halt and then looked at the plug, this isnt a good indication, the dark centres prob slowing down off the main road, looks a bit weak otherwise but, bm,s run weak anyway in standard form, probably wrong but the yelow plug may make it weaker at higher revs, ???

so is this bad enough to worry about ?
am I risking burning valves or holeing the pistons ??

btw I forgot to say about 1/2 hour before getting home I had bit of a race with my mate a bit of full taps till just under red line in each gear on a few stretches between round abouts on open bits of road. :augie:augie
just thought i'd add that if it helps read what my plugs are looking like
thanks in advance for any help
John
