Released in addition to the SPIII, not to replace it. Check out the small print, especially as regards weather protection.....

I cannot find where they say either the SPIII or SP2610 is waterproof to IPX7 but my clear understanding is that both, for all practical motorcycling purposes, are waterproof.

Nobody seems to have released a motorcycle mount for the SP2610 (yet).

Look here and check SPIII and enter.

I think that the mounts are the same as the SPIII.

It uses the same Garmin auto base which appears to be attached to the unit itself rather than a bracket like the SPIII.

No good for bikes but RAM and Tourtech will probably have something shortly.
