I have a 2010 R1200GSA, which I use for work and pleasure. This weekend I was working as a motorbike medic at a cycling event in Somerset. On Sat, Sun and Mon I rode to the event (an hour), rode the event (about 8 hours off and on riding) and then home again. Every day on the way home, at roughly the same time whilst sitting on an A road at about (ahem) 80mph the bike did a weird misfire and knocked off the ABS and traction control. So had to stop and reset the bike....

It didn't happen at any other time and I can't replicate the fault. Any ideas?

Was it exactly the same spot??

80mph over a small jump perhaps..........confusing the wheel speed sensors??

Mine is fine catching some air over a small humpy-back bridge. My failing primary coils worked (or didn't) like clockwork. Rough running got worse on both sides at about the same distance though as time went by that distance got ever shorter. Both coils finally gave in (totally) within 10 miles of each other.

Actually now I think about it there was a small hump in the road.... I need to take it in to BMW to try and get them to look at dodgy fuel tank fitting so maybe they'll do a free fault check :D
